WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This course is for you if you’re considering, or already have, supervisory responsibilities.
OVERVIEW
This course is endorsed by Build UK as the standard training for all supervisors working on Build UK sites
and provides an understanding of health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.
It highlights legal responsibilities and the need to promote health and safety to supervise effectively.
DURATION
This is a two-day course.
Delegates are required to complete the full course (15 hours) to be eligible for certification.
CERTIFICATION
CITB Site Safety Plus certificate.
Certification for this course is valid for 5 years.
To remain certified in this area, you will need to retake the course before the expiry date.

AT THE END OF THE COURSE
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES
WILL HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF:

Health and safety law and how it applies to supervisors

Your supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safely

Risk assessments and the need for method statements

Effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings

Monitoring site activities effectively

Timely intervention when bad practice is identified
ASSESEMENT
To complete the Site Supervision Safety Training course, delegates must be involved in the classroom-based discussion and complete individual and/or group presentations. Assessment will be by an end of course examination and the trainer review.
The delegate must pass the exam and pass all three elements of the trainer review.
CERTIFICATION
CITB Site Safety Plus certificate.
Certification for this course is valid for 5 years.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
Delegates must be able to read, write and understand English well to attend the course.
Photographic ID and the delegates national insurance number must be provided on the first day of the course.
